- おはよう ございます = ohayou gozaimsau = good morning
- こんにちは = konnichiwa = good afternoon
- こんばんは = konbanwa = good evening
- おやすみ なさい = oyasumi nasai = good night
- さようなら = sayounara = goodbye
- じゃ また = ja mata = see ya
- いって らしゃい = itte rashai = have a good trip
- いって まいります = itte mairimasu = okay, see ya
- ただいま = tadaima = i'm home
- おかえりなさい = okaerinasai = welcome home
- おげんき ですか = ogenki desuka? = how are you?
- げんき です = genki desu = i'm fine
